Impulse control in a canine is a direct result of both clarity and trust. A canine that is taught impulse control properly will work high in drive and obey control commands without losing drive. A canine that loses drive or reacts aggressively to the handler when given control commands has been conditioned improperly and will have a hard time fully committing to a task because the consequences are typically painful and drive stopping. When the grey area is removed, the canine does not anticipate unwarranted corrections and goes hard when they are right. Power is in the drive, we teach you how to keep and improve drive.
We take the clarity learned and layer that with pressure and scenarios to further build trust and proof the improved drive. This course is a great exercise in learning and understanding behavior as well as building trust, improving drive and adding clarity to tasks.
