Pet Training

Driven canine offers high level training for your pet and family. The two options for training are one on one sessions and board and training. During the one-on-one sessions, we work with the canine and the family so that anyone involved with the day to day of the canine has a solid understanding of how and why their family companion behaves as they do.

The board and train option is where we will take the canine for a minimum of 2-3 weeks and imprint your canine with the basic commands needed to live conflict free within your family dynamic. There is no extra charge if the time to train the canine exceeds 2-3 weeks. During the board and train process the owners are given the option to participate in training so they can see the progress and learn as well. There are 3 classes given after turn-over, however we will never leave a family with a driven canine trained dog needing assistance and urge them to contact us anytime a problem shows. Your canine is our business card, so making sure you are happy, and the canine behaves properly is our top priority.

We train with correction collars and in most cases E-collars. When both tools are utilized properly neither of them are inhumane and result in a better more reliable canine.

The training philosophy with pets is the same as with police canines. We build an understanding of the commands being taught using positive rewards. As the behavior becomes more reliable, we add distractors and implement positive punishment and negative punishment as required in a fair manner. Using both sides of the operant conditioning formula results in a reliable happy companion.
